It's taken me 47 years to get to Europe and finally got the this past month. We used our miles and used the only 40 thousand miles per person round trip and off we go to Frankfurt Germany from Phoenix Arizona. Dust to green very green, rented the car and thank god it came with a GPS otherwise i would have gotten lost more than the miles i drove 3100 hundred miles, yes same distance from LA to New York cross country.
Two days to get there with cheap airfare and a over night stay in Dallas and then a 9 1/2 hour plane ride to Frankfurt but we arrived and 8.30 in the morning got the rent a car and off we were first stop Warsburg Germany about an hour and 15 minutes outside Frankfurt.
