Let's recap the situation

Let’s recap the next few weeks, hold on to your hat people I am going to need another vacation after this one.

Day 1: Fly from PHX (airport code) for Phoenix Sky Harbor at 7.25 travel 9.25 hours direct to LHR (London) on British Airlines thru courtesy of miles thru American Airlines. 7.5 hour layover in LHR. 

 I just heard that international flights travelers that are going intro Europe need to get there bags and then go thru security again.  I also heard that London is one of the slowest airports in the world; a because of the amount of people that travel thru there and another because of the security measures that are in force.  

Then it’s off to Nice France.  Nice sits 15 minutes South from Monaco and 15 minutes north of the famous Cannes in the French Rivera, now you ask why Nice, well I saved $700 going thru Nice instead of Rome and in my mind it offset the car rental fee for the week.  Land in Nice and we have a nice hotel only ½ mile away which arriving at 11.35 at night makes life so much easier. 

End of day one which it’s not actually day one, it's day two but who is counting.

Changes and charges

Ok guy's i am tired. Just finished booking my land tours fromt the cruise leaving Rome,  stops in Anthens, Crete, Turkey and Messina Italy. 

Off to a night in Rome and Two nights in Naples, a 9 hour tour to Capri, Sorrento, Pmpei and the Almfi coast to top it off.

I didn't even give you the first week in Tuscany.

Sad thing in all of this is I had to change my flights and days and will not be in New York untill the afternoon and the 16th direct from Germany

Counting down the days to Europe

The days are getting closer and closer to take off. Now we have added a cruise to Greece and turkey. Will send pictures when I get there.

Gathering at a friends regarding political campaigning to help a friend before heading to Italy. Days are numbered before takeoff.

22days and we are off to italy. This weekend big art show in surprise can't wait to print italy shoots. Stay tuned for more.

Two nights booked in the heart of Siena Tuscany Italy.....walk the streets at night and early morning.

Ok here we go, I booked our last night stay in Palmero Italy, just 12 nights to go.  DGL

26 days Italy

26 days and counting till take off. Doing a lot of research as where to go what to see. Any suggestions.

Italy is around the corner

Travel time is around the corner and I am off to Italy, Arriving in Nice France and traveling the west coast of Italy. On the agenda are, Tuscany, sienna, Florence, Parma, La Spezia, Pisa, Rome, Naples, the Amalfi Coast, The Island of Capri, the famous Positano, Pompe,  then a ferry to Sicily the final part of the family tree research, Palmero and the famous Corleone.

As of right now I am arriving, I have my first night stay in Nice and a car rental set for the next day in Genoa Italy and my flight home, the rest is up in the air; with navigation on my cell phone I hope it works and an I pad. 

Nervously exciting traveling in another country and I even have a language barrier but oh well I will wing it. see you when we get even closer than today.
